We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for two workshops taking place in fall 2024.

Podcast Production Workshop, 24-25 October 2024

This one-and-a-half-day workshop in October covers all essential aspects of podcast production, from concept development and recording to post-launch engagement. It is a hands-on, interactive workshop that starts from the basics and requires no prior experience.

The workshop will be led by PhD candidate Joanne Kuai, an experienced journalist and podcast producer. It will be held at the Centre for East and South-East Asian Studies, and participants will also have access to the university’s studio facilities.

PhD Workshop on International Relations, 27-28 November 2024

In collaboration with the Horizon Europe EUVIP project (EU in the Volatile Indo-Pacific), the Graduate School in Asian Studies invites applications for the PhD Workshop on International Relations. This workshop will bring together PhD students and senior scholars over two days in November at the Centre for East and South-East Asian Studies. Participants will discuss key issues in the region, exchange ideas, and receive feedback on draft texts.

The workshop includes individual sessions focused on students’ draft texts and features 1-2 keynote speakers delivering public lectures on current issues in East Asia and the Indo-Pacific region.
